NAPLES, Fla. — An East Naples man was arrested on more than 100 child pornography-related charges.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children involving the possible upload of child pornography to a suspect gmail account.
Detectives determined the account belonged to Robert Philip Giguere, 66.
Detectives interviewed Giguere at his residence, where he gave them his written consent to conduct a forensic download of his laptop computer.
Detectives also obtained a search warrant to conduct the forensic download, which involved removing the hard drive and all the data from the laptop.
The review turned up more than 100 files containing images of child pornography.
All of the files contained images of either nude children posing in a lewd manner, children engaged in sex acts with other children, or adults engaging in sex acts with children.
The children depicted in the images appeared to range in age from 2 to 13.
Giguere is charged with 100 counts of possession of child pornography. Because multiple images were found, he was also charged with one child pornography count with intent to promote.
