FORT MYERS, Fla-- The 2nd Annual Lazy Flamingo Half Marathon kicks off on Sunday, March 1.
People who live along McGregor Blvd. should plan accordingly because a large portion of the roadway will be shutdown for the race.
From 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., McGregor Blvd. will be blocked off from West First Street to College Pkwy.
People who live along the riverside will be able to leave their neighborhood and head northbound along McGregor Blvd. This will be done with the help of volunteers and officers along the road.
However, a portion of McGregor Blvd. will be completely shut down from College Pkwy. to Camelot Drive. Those who live or work in that area are asked to plan ahead or use alternate routes.
All roadblocks will be lifted once the race ends.
