A Lee County man is charged with stealing several hundred dollars worth of restaurant equipment over the weekend.
Deputies arrested Eugene Byrd Saturday, hours after a truck filled with stuff was captured on surveillance tape leaving Miceli's in Matlacha.
The owner says he discovered several space heaters, a saute pan and smoker missing from a storage area behind the restaurant.
The owner couldn't talk to Fox 4 about the incident because it is still under investigation. Byrd bonded out of jail Sunday.
