Today's Faces of Fox 4 features Nick Kaye originally from Ohio. In 1999, he moved to Southwest Florida with his family after he graduated high school. Nick is one of the station's account executives and plays a leadership role at the station. In the last year, Nick and his girlfriend bought a house in Bonita Springs making him a DIY weekend warrior.
Of Bonita Springs, Nick says, "There isn't one neighborhood that I've seen that has this kind of appeal. It's full of character." The couple tackles room after room, which are big projects. The first tiling project took a toll on Nick physically. He says, "One all nighter which subsequently took my back out."
Not including labor, so far the couple has spent about 10 thousand dollars for materials, fixtures and appliances. They also saved money by going to the Habitat for Humanity store for secondhand materials.
Nick explores the Sunshine state on his motorcycle and loves to travel. Here are some of his favorite routes.
