Family looking for answers on second anniversary of homicide

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — On the second anniversary of a homicide, the Lee County Sheriff's Office and a family are continuing to look for answers in the murder of Jontavious Thomas.

On January 30, 2017, Jontavious Thomas left his home during the early morning hours to go to work. He was met with gunfire when leaving his home. The 29-year-old succumbed to the injuries, leaving a young wife and family with grief and many questions.

As the new year and the third anniversary of this homicide rolls around, the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers and Jontavious' family all continue to hope that someone will come forward with information.
