A 61-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a car Saturday night. The Florida Highway Patrol says it happened on Lee Boulevard and Hazelwood Avenue. Investigators say a driver was traveling westbound on Lee Boulevard approaching Hazelwood Avenue when the pedestrian was crossing the intersection Lee Boulevard and Hazelwood Avenue.
Troopers say the pedestrian walked directly in front of the vehicle. The Florida Highway Patrol says the incident is under investigation.
