UPDATE (8:20 AM) -- Troopers say State Road 82 has been reopened after three people died in a head-on crash early Tuesday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Jeep Wrangler was driving eastbound in the westbound lane when it crashed into a westbound Jaguar EX. Both vehicles then caught fire.
The driver of the Jeep died in the crash, as did the driver and passenger in the car.
Their names have not been released yet.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- A section of State Road 82 east of Lehigh Acres is completely blocked due to a fatal crash.
The crash happened around 1 a.m. on State Road 82 near Gator Slough Lane. That's about halfway between Corkscrew Road and State Road 29.
No further details are available at this time.
Drivers should avoid the area if possible.
