LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol says one person died in a Lehigh Acres crash.
The victim was as a 16-year-old girl from Lehigh Acres, according to FHP.
On Wednesday afternoon, State Road 82 was closed in both directions between Grant Boulevard and Alabama Road.
The crash happened Wednesday afternoon on State Road 82 near Golden Palm Circle.
State troopers say a 16-year-old driver from Fort Myers made a left turn going eastbound, and hit the front of another car that was stopped due to traffic.
That caused the car that she hit to crash into another vehicle.
The passenger, who was also 16 years old, died in the crash.
The teen driver had minor injuries.
