PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — A 52-year-old Punta Gorda man is suffering critical injuries following a hit and run crash on Taylor Road and Creekbridge Drive in Charlotte County Friday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the suspect hit the man, who was walking within the grass shoulder of Taylor Road and fled the scene.
Troopers say the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Authorities describe the car as a 2003-2005 GMC C5500 pickup truck, unknown color.
