Body found floating near Tarpon Pier identified as 26-year-old Tampa woman

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Fort Myers investigators have identified the body of a woman who was found floating in the Caloosahatchee River Monday night.

Detectives updated us that the female is identified as Jade Robinson,26, from the Tampa area and deputies confirmed there is no person of interest.

Police say they responded to a call around 7:30 p.m.

Officers discovered the body floating in the water about an hour later.

Homicide investigators were out in the Caloosahatchee River on Tuesday.

Robinson is approximately 5’2” and 120 pounds, between the age of 18-24, with (5) distinct tattoos. A tattoo “Chris” on the chest area and a tribal pattern on the sternum along with "Perfino" tattooed vertically on her back, a Scorpio zodiac symbol, and "Phenomenal Woman" tattooed on her lower left forearm.
