FORT MYERS, Fla--- The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating an early morning crash between a car and a pole along Colonial Boulevard & Winkler Avenue.
According to FMPD the call was received shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday. When officers arrived on scene they found a white sedan resting against a pole facing east in the westbound lane of Colonial Boulevard.
Nearby employees at 7-Eleven witnessed the accident but were not allowed to speak.
No word of injuries or arrests.
A power truck arrived on scene and towed the car away. Our crew on scene said there was a power line down, and the crosswalk pole and button was damaged and laying on the ground.
