LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- There's a family owned food truck serving up classic Mediterranean dishes right here in Southwest Florida.
The Doner Kebab King Karl truck is owned and operated by Karl and his wife, Sigrid. The opened up their business 6 six years ago. They say they were the second food truck to open up in our area.
Sigrid says that they had a rough start being one of the first trucks to open up here. They use recipes from a Turkish family-friend.
Their most popular dish is their classic gyro; they also have kebabs, a Philly cheese steak gyro style, baklava and more. The truck marinates their meats in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days to get the most flavor.
