LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- A truck is serving up sweet treats to help you beat the heat in Southwest Florida.
Chris Ward and Coby Palmer own the Kona Ice truck; they started operating it back in August 2017. Kona Ice is a franchise with hundreds of trucks operating across the country, there are six in our area.
Coby and Chris say they decided to get involved with the Kona Ice franchise after finding out about how the company gives back to the community. A portion of Kona's color changing cups sales in the country will go towards adopting a classroom.
Teachers can also fundraise using Kona Ice; the truck will come to the class and a portion of the sales will go back to that class.
The truck has several fruity flavors, the most popular is blue raspberry. Customers can also pick their own flavors outside the truck using the Flavorwave feature.
