Former bait dog brings toys to kids impacted by Irma

Posted

A former bait dog known for her inspiring story, along with her new sister, brought stuffed animals to children in Immokalee impacted by Hurricane Irma.

Abigail was rescued last year after she was found with her ear ripped off. Her rescuers at Love is Fur Ever Dog Rescue think she was used as a bait dog in a dog-fighting ring.

Abigail is now known for the bonnets she wears in place of her missing ear.

Abigail and her new big sister Tala, who is also a therapy dog, went with her rescuers and new adopted family to deliver stuffed animals to children impacted by Hurricane Irma at First Assembly Church of God in Immokalee. The stuffed animals were donated by some of Abigail's fans from all over the world.

Abigail, Tala, and their family plans to return to Immokalee in December for a holiday drive.
