LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Fort Myers man was arrested Wednesday after being accused of raping a patient at Cape Coral Hospital last year while working as a nurse.

35-year-old Jeovanni Hechavarria was apprehended at a Fort Myers home improvement store by members of the U.S. Marshal's fugitive task force.

According to Cape Coral Police, in July 2016, Hechavarria was working as a nurse at Cape Coral Hospital when a patient says she was molested by Jeovanni and later raped by him.

He was fired from Lee Health shortly after the incident and his nursing license was restricted.

In the wake of those allegations, another woman says Hechavarria molested her in the hospital as well, back in 2015.  She reported it to hospital officials told Fox 4 that police did not take her report seriously.

Hechavarria is now charged with Sexual Assault for the 2016 incident and is currently being held in Lee County Jail on no bond.
