FORT MYERS, Fla. — A local barbershop was broken into early Tuesday morning.

The Fort Myers police department is now searching for a suspect.

Shattered glass marks the doorway of Angel of Kash Barbershop off of Palm Beach Blvd. in Fort Myers.

The store’s owner, Kash received a call around 6 am Tuesday morning.

“Somebody broke into the shop, I didn’t really know what to say, ” said Kash.

Fort Myers police say the suspect entered through a busted glass door, and that witnesses then saw someone carrying products out of the building.

“Yes some stuff was taken, but I work hard for it I could always replace it,” said Kash.

The barbershop owner has since filed a police report and is hoping to press charges.

“I can’t take this into my own hands, but I hope the police do their job, ” said Kash.

He is urging the suspect to turn themselves in to authorities, but until then Kash says he is going to keep pushing forward.

“Keep working hard, I can keep my head down and keep doing what I’m doing, ” said Kash.
