FORT MYERS, Fla. — Fort Myers Brewing Company’s locally crafted Spyk’d Hard Seltzer has earned two medals at the U.S. Open Beverage Championships held in November in Oxford, Ohio. The Spyk’d Mojito Hard Seltzer won a Gold medal in the Hard Seltzer Herb category and the company’s Spyk’d Lemon Lime earned the Bronze award in the Lemon-Lime category.

“This is the second national award we’ve earned this year for our hard seltzer brand and we are proud of the positive response from our industry peers as well as our customers,” said Rob Whyte, who co-founded Fort Myers Brewing in 2013 with his wife, Jen. “Most importantly, we share this honor with our incredibly talented brewing team who continue to innovate and deliver world-class beverages to craft beverage connoisseurs.”

Fort Myers Brewing Company ales, pilsners, stouts and IPAs are also winners of multiple prestigious awards, including golds at the Best Florida Beer Competition, a silver at the 2018 World Beer Cup and a bronze at the 2019 Great American Beer Festival. Fort Myers Brewing was named “Best Large Brewery in Florida” in 2016.

Fort Myers Brewing Company was the first microbrewery to open in Lee County and is located at 12811 Commerce Lakes Dr., Suite 28.
