FORT MYERS, Fla. — Fort Myers City Councilman Kevin Anderson (Ward 4) has tested positive for coronavirus.
Anderson says he believed he contracted COVID-19 while on a Central American cruise.
He and his wife returned from the cruise on March 20th.
But, Anderson says he didn't feel any symptoms until Tuesday, March 24th.
The councilman says people should stay home and take the virus seriously.
"People need to understand (that) just because you're not presenting any of the symptoms...doesn't mean you're free and clear from this," Anderson told FOX 4.
The two are currently in quarantine.
