LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A vehicle crash along Daniels Parkway east of Interstate 75 has knocked out power to the local area.
The crash happened at approximately 6:30 AM at the intersection with Treeline Avenue.
A car crash knocked out power and the communication network to the traffic lights. It caused delays, but crews were able to get power reconnected around 9:30 AM.
Crews remained to work on repairing fiber optics that helps coordinate the traffic lights.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office says drivers should avoid the area for several hours if possible while Florida Highway Patrol investigates the crash.
