Study: Fort Myers is fastest-growing city in America

FORT MYERS, Fla.-- Two of the top 10 fastest-growing cities in America are in Southwest Florida.

According toWalletHub, Fort Myers is the number one fast-growing city in the country, Lehigh Acres was number seven and Cape Coral was 24 on the list. 

Fort Myers was also tied for number 1 for the highest poverty rate decreases. Lehigh Acres tied for highest population growth.

Decatour, Illinois was last place on the list. WalletHub looked at the local economic growth of 515 cities over a period of seven years to come up with the list.
