The franchise was founded in 1926 as the Fort Myers Palms. After a move to Miami the next season, the team played under the names Miami Hustlers, Miami Marlins, Miami Orioles, and Miami Miracle before returning to Fort Myers in 1992.

Opening Day for the 2020 season is April 9th.
