FORT MYERS, Fla – Fort Myers city leaders will hear from a consultant on Monday, about how adding red light cameras could improve safety.
While many feel it will make our roads safer, others worry the cameras would lead to issues with ticketing.
You may recall a few years back, the issue reached the Florida Supreme Court. Floridians felt having an outside vendor look at and determine violations based off photos should be illegal. However, the high court threw that case out.
City council will consider the idea at 2:00 p.m.
