CLEWISTON, Fla. — Jamal “Jampack” Hubert was known for jam packing Cane Stadium at Clewiston Highschool back in 2007.

Football first, football growing up, now that he had his daughter, everything shifted, now it’s his daughter, Jamal’s cousin Tiffany Rivers Smith said.

Tonight the field wasn’t packed to see him play, but for his family and friends to honor his life.

He was just a fun-loving guy, he never caused any trouble, he was always loved

“Never mad, never angry, Jamal would lighten up any room he walked into.” Jackie Young, Jamal’s Aunt Guardian

Hubert was reported missing June 2nd and his body found in a Canal in South Florida four days later.

Jamal, who was only 30-year-old leaves behind his daughter, family, and friends.

“It’s a different type of hurt; it’s a different type of hurt, we get to question why, or too soon or not now.” Jeremiah Ashew, friend

Wednesday investigators arrested Terrance Thomas charging him with Hubert’s death.

“No, it does not give me closure; it gives me a little peace knowing who this did is locked up and can’t hurt anybody else.” Jackie Young, Jamal’s aunt guardian

Pain with every step they took down the football field for the former Tigers running back and finishing it off by filling the endzone and releasing balloons with messages for Jamal.

I love you, bro, I miss you your daughter loves you, your family loves you, now rest up.
Jeremiah Ashew, Friend.

I love you so much, and I miss you so much, you will be missed, and this is coming from your sugar, ha ha ha.
