FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The money to buy the huge Christmas tree that goes in Centennial park will be donated by a Southwest Florida non-profit.
The Fort Myers city council is expected on Monday to approve the $5,000 donation by the group "Friends of James Kinsey."
The agenda says Kinsey was always involved in the Fort Myers community and the tree will be to honor him.
He died back in 2014.
