FORT MYERS, Fla -- If you're thinking of making a Giving Tuesday donation, The United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades, and Okeechobee is a great option! Your gift will go even further this year to help the more than 90 agencies and over 260 programs the charity supports.
The United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades, and Okeechobee is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people in our community. Donations stay local, and as President and CEO Jeannine Joy explained, your Giving Tuesday donation is even more important this year amid the pandemic.
“This year more than ever, we’re seeing so many people in need in our community. So if you’ve given before, we really thank you. But this year, it is so much more impactful than it’s ever been before. There’s so many more people in need and people really needing help for the very first time,” said Joy.
Finemark National Bank and Trust will match dollar for dollar any donations on Giving Tuesday, up to $20,000!
