FORT MYERS, Fla.-- Police are searching for the suspect who stole a go-cart from a child battling cancer.
Seven-year-old Connor was diagnosed with Leukemia two years ago, and his parents bought him a go-cart as a present after being released from the hospital in 2016.
Sarah Foley, the mother of Connor, said when the family woke up Wednesday morning, the gift was stolen.
"I'm really hoping whoever did steal it-- if they could just please return it no questions asked that way we don't have to have the conversation that his go cart is gone," Foley said.
Connor's mom said his go-cart was one of the only things that made him feel like a normal kid, and people don't know who they can affect when they steal someone's belongings.
