COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Collier County deputies say a 36-year-old Golden Gate man is being held on a federal immigration detainer after an investigation turned up child pornography photos on his cell phone.
Deputies say Eugenio Tunpop was arrested on a warrant Thursday.
Investigators say he is charged with two counts of obscene material-possession of a photo of sexual performance by a child.
Deputies say once Tunpop has satisfied the local criminal charges, he will be released to ICE custody.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation after the agency received cyber tips from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
