FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Golisano Children’s Hospital celebrated its one year anniversary Friday.

Patients and families along with staff members celebrated with night lights shining on the hospital and a garden party.

Emergency personnel also came out to the celebration to visit patients.

We spoke to Chief Administrating Officer Armando Llechu, who shared new additions to the hospital.  "We've added a lot of new programs this year. We've started a burn service, we've started a post stabilization trauma program. We are now doing hemo dialysis and paritenial dialysis, and we've been able to have dozens of families stay local this year that would've otherwise gone to Miami or Tampa."

Ambulatory patients were also able to get a close up view of the personnel vehicles.
