The jury returned the guilty verdict shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday after deliberating for just under an hour.

The crime happened in April 2017. Prosecuters say Pierce had been stalking two young men. One afternoon he drove by the men’s home off of Hancock Bridge Parkway in Cape Coral and both victims were outside. Pierce flashed a gun at them as he drove by.

He then drove by a second time and pointed a gun at them.

He then drove by a third time and fired several shots at them.

One victim ran, another got in his car and drove away. Pierce chased him throughout the city until the victim called 911 and police met up with him. Pierce was later apprehended.
