Gulf Coast Humane Society adoption goal for the year

Posted

LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- The Gulf Coast Humane Society is hoping you will help them reach their adoption goal this year.

So far they have had 148 adoptions, but their goal is a little over 2,340.

Jessica Bamford, with the Gulf Coast Humane Society says you can go to their adoption center and meet the pets to take home. She also says they do many events around SWFL and bring adoptable pets to you.

They will be at the 2nd annual Veg Fest in Bonita Springs at Riverside Park on Sunday, January 28. They will also have a Fast and The Furriest 5K event on Saturday, April 7 at the Centurylink Sports Complex.

The Cannolis, Cops and Canines event on Monday, January 22 raised $14,000 for the shelter. GCHS says they get the animals from other animal control agencies and they also take in pets from owners who surrender them.

GCHS is located at 2010 Arcadia Street in Fort Myers. Their adoption center is open everyday at noon.
