LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- The Gulf Coast Humane Society is hoping you fall in love with one of their pets and take it home.
Brian Wierima, of the GCHS, says "Wayne," 4-year-old pitbull terrier mix is looking for a forever home. The shelter rescued him from Louisiana.
Wierima says there is a common misconception that pitbulls are mean, but it's not true. He says Wayne is actually playful and friendly.
The shelter has an event the second Friday of every month called "Yappy Hour" at the Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers.
