FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Detectives arrested a Fort Myers man they say shot and injured a man this weekend, and found an arsenal of weapons in his home.

26-year-old Derek Riccobono has been charged with Homicide and firing a weapon from a vehicle.

According to Fort Myers Police, officers heard a gunshot around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of Bay Street and Hendry Street and arrived to find 32-year-old Edward Jones, III with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Jones was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Detectives used eyewitness statements and surveillance images to identify Riccobono as a suspect and located him Monday at his Harbour Isle home.

Inside his home, investigators located multiple firearms, assault rifles and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.  Investigators also located multiple gun holsters, ammunition belts and a bulletproof vest with steel plates.

"Mr. Riccobono’s arsenal of weapons is of serious concern given the way he acted in this incident,” says Captain Jay Rodriguez.

Riccobono has three previous arrests on his record in Lee County, including a felony arson arrest at age 12.
