ESTERO, Fla.-- Dozens of community members turned up at the Village of Estero's public meeting to discuss the proposed yellow paint job for Hertz Arena. Representatives from Hertz say the color defines their brand, but it doesn't match Estero council's vision for the building. The village code says commercial buildings must be neutral, warm earth tones, or subdued pastels.
But some think a compromise can be reached between Hertz and Estero that will allow their branding message and keep the integrity of the community intact.
So far, no decisions have been made. The council will continue to have meetings about the proposed paint color. No date has been set for the next council meeting.
