The Edison and Ford Estates homeschool robotics team, also known as the Edisonian Bots, qualified for a state level competition this Sunday.
The boys and girls on the team are ages 10 to 13 and they'll be training with the bots and pracitciing for the competition on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Edison and Ford Estates.
Prior to the competition, the team was asked to find an innovative solution to real-world engineering challenges and compete with LEGO-based robots. The kids designed, built and programed robots that involved critical thinking and team building. This is the second year the Edisonian Bots are participating in this competition.
