FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. -- Deputies are investigating a homicide in a waterfront condo on Fort Myers Beach.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, on Monday, deputies were called to a unit in the Marina Village at Snug Harbor, located on Old San Carlos Road just off the Matanzas Pass bridge.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found one person deceased inside the unit.
Due to the nature of the incident, Major Crimes Unit detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Detectives have deemed this incident to be a homicide. Next of kin notification is pending.
The scene is active and the investigation is ongoing.
