NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — Feb. 25 is National Pancake Day, which means people can enjoy a free flapjack at IHOP until 7 p.m.

For IHOP restaurants in our area, it's also an opportunity to donate to an important local cause.

Until March 12, customers can add a donation to Children's Miracle Network to their bill.

The money raised supports future growth and programs at Golisano Children's Hospital.

“Southwest Florida leaders have worked for over 20 years to raise awareness of our community children’s hospital and were instrumental in Golisano achieving Children’s Miracle Network membership,” said Chris Simoneau, Lee Health chief foundation and development officer. “We are excited to team up with IHOP for our first big campaign as a member of the network, and encourage our community to stop by IHOP for breakfast, lunch or dinner and consider supporting their local children’s hospital after their meal.”

Tuesday morning, Fox 4 is joining National Pancake Day and Golisano donation efforts at the IHOP located in North Fort Myers.
