FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Lee County deputies are investigating an overnight motorcycle crash in Fort Myers.
The Fox 4 Breaking News Tracker was the first media on scene and arrived as an ambulance was leaving.
This happened just before 3 a.m. on northbound Tamiami Trail just about a quarter mile south of Alico Road.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 37-year-old Cristian Benejan of Lehigh Acres was riding northbound when he lost control and hit a curb, ejecting him from the motorcycle and sending the bike into a grassy ditch.
He was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
