CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — Charlotte County investigators are looking for the person who sent them a tip in the 1995 disappearance of Christine Flahive.
The sheriff's office is treating this as a homicide case.
They say the tip was related to Rollins Street, which is one of the areas crews searched.
They didn't recover any human bones but found some items of interest at a different location.
Detectives believe 42-year-old Chirstine Flahive was headed to a downtown Punta Gorda bar on January 4, 1995, but never returned home. Earlier this year, investigatorsshifted the case from a missing person to a homicide.
Deputies believe the information sent by the tipster is accurate and important to their investigation.
They want that person to contact them using the same method again.
