A vehicle attempting to navigate flooded roads in Naples ended up in a downtown lake, according to rescue officials Saturday.
Photos posted to Facebook by the Fire-Rescue show the partially submerged Jeep at an angle.
Officials say the vehicle accidentally turned into a storm drain runoff channel and swept into the lake. No injuries were reported.
Flash flooding can easily turn driving into a dangerous, and sometimes fatal, action. Emergency officials want you to remember to "Turn Around, Don't Drown." As little as six inches of water can be enough to sweep a vehicle away, and you cannot tell what the condition of the road may be if you try to pass. Seek alternate routes whenever you see flooded roads.
