Jorge Guerrero, the man investigators think had something to do with the disappearance of Diana Alvarez, was found guilty Tuesday on one count of possession of child pornography and one count of producing child pornography.
The jury was made of seven women and five men.
Alvarez's family attorney tells 4 In Your Corner Guerrero showed little emotion during the trial even smirking and smiling at times.
He could face up to 30 years for production and 15 years for possession in prison.
Guerrero will be sentenced on August 14.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office says the investigation into Diana's disappearance is still ongoing.
Rita Hernandez, Diana's mother, made a statement thanking prosecutors, investigators and the media for keeping Diana's story alive.
Diana disappeared from her family's San Carlos home last May. Guerrero was arrested after police found explicit pornographic pictures on his phone.
May 17 will be Diana's 10th birthday.
