FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The man charged with killing Fort Myers Police officer Adam Jobbers-Miller will be in court Wednesday.

During his afternoon appearance, a Lee County judge might issue a ruling on whether Wisner Desmaret is competent to stand trial for murder.

Back in December, a judge said he would rule on the case after prosecutors and Desmaret's lawyers made their arguments in court.

The state is seeking the death penalty.
