LaBELLE, Fla. -- Fox 4 knows the growth of Southwest Florida is a topic you care about, which is why we're highlighting a new business that's the first of its kind to the area.
“It’s going to be a new concept coming to LaBelle and we are really excited about it,” said TJ Cannamela, owner, Buckingham Farms. '
It's hard to miss construction of LaBelle Brewing Company off State Road 80 in LaBelle. “We decided to build this restaurant and microbrewery right here in front of all this property,” said Dan Peregrin, owner, La Belle Brewing Company.
The multi-story establishment will be a total of seven thousand square feet. The owners hoping to bring a home away from home feel to its customers.
“We aren’t having those little metal stools and have one beer and a sandwich and leave, no we want you to hang out and enjoy your day,” said Peregrin.
Dan Peregrin partnering with TJ Cannamela the owner of Buckingham Farms to combine local ingredients for not only the brewery side but the restaurant.
Cannamela plans to incorporate favorites from Buckingham Farms and new items as well.
“Hopefully it’ll bring a good economic stimulation to this area,” said Cannamela.
When completed in October, the brewery will bring more than 25 jobs to the area.
Clementine’s Southern Boutique up the road welcomes the growth, “it keeps people in town, it keeps people from going out of town, keeps things local, keeps money local,” said Sandy Fielder, Clementine’s Southern Boutique.
Peregrin hired a Fort Myers brewmaster to be in charge of the beer, but they are waiting to reveal who it is.
“We are just going to have fun with it,” said Peregrin.
