BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — Lee County Deputies say they were alerted to an alligator trying to get into an individual's front porch in the Bonita National Community.
Deputies and a trapper responded to the scene and the alligator was safely contained. Deputies say this time of year is mating season for alligators, so they are on the move.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office says if you live close to waterways where alligators have been seen to frequent. take precaution and be vigialnt.
