SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — Pedestrians in South Fort Myers will soon have a safe place to walk or bike along Winkler Road.
Lee County Commissioners approved a contract for a construction project for a sidewalk and water main improvements.
The sidewalk will be built along Winkler road from College Parkway to Mcgregor Boulevard.
The contract will cost more than $1.2 million. However, total costs are $1.5 million.
Construction is expected to begin in January.
