Lee County Public Schools teachers surprised with Golden Apples

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Six Lee County, Public Schools teachers, were surprised today with Golden Apples.

The winners listed below received the honor:

  • Laurie Nelson is a 6-8th Spanish Teacher at Gulf Middle.
  • Mark Drew is a 9-12th grade Engineering & Technical Design Teacher at Ida S. Baker High.
  • Jaclyn Baker is a 7th grade Civics & Social Studies Teacher at Three Oaks Middle.
  • Nancy Rossi, is a 3rd grade teacher at Gateway Elementary.
  • Jennifer Nargi-Kida is a 3rd grade Teacher at Villas Elementary School.
  • Brittany Camp, is a 12th grade AP Government and Literature Teacher at Cypress Lake High.

The Golden Apple Awards were established thirty-two years ago as a way to enhance public education.

Each year, students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the general public to nominate any Lee County School District teacher who is making an extraordinary contribution to our students.

The winners are honored at a recognition banquet.
