FORT MYERS, Fla. — Crime Stoppers is hoping you may recognize a man suspected of robbing a bank Friday in Fort Myers. The suspect was caught on surveillance video holding up the bank. Crime Stoppers say shortly after 3 p.m. Friday, the male suspect walked into the BB&T Bank, located at 12971 McGregor Boulevard. They say he immediately approached a teller and passed a note claiming he had a gun and demanded money. They say after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank on foot.
Lee County Sheriff Deputies were on the scene searching for the man, but could not locate him. If you have any information, call crime stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS. Crime Stoppers will pay up to 3,000 dollars for information that leads to an arrest.
