LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to a threat of violence call as a charter school last week after a student was seen looking at images of "assault weapons" at school.

According to a sheriff's office incident report, on Friday, a deputy was called to Bonita Springs Charter School, where he was notified that a student was observed viewing inappropriate photos on his school-assigned iPad.

The deputy was shown the images on the iPad, and noted that four photographs in particular were "concerning".

Details of the photos were redacted from the report.

The case was turned over to a Sergeant for further investigation.
