CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Firefighters responded to a house fire in Cape Coral at the location of Northwest 2nd Avenue and Northwest 5th Street.
When firefighters got to the scene they reportedly saw heavy smoke coming from the back of the house. Two people were home and made it out safely. The home is said to be unlivable but the homeowners have a
place to stay.
Cape Coral Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
One neighbor says he watched as it happened.
"there was a little bit of fire in the back there and then there was a big pop and then the flames just burst and it spread and a couple of my neighbors went over there to make sure everybody got out okay"

No one was hurt.
