SANIBEL, Fla. — Wildlife service crews from Illinois have begun working with "Ding" Darling Wildlife Society to help reopen the wildlife drive and trails since Hurricane Ian.

The crews began last week clearing up safety hazards and wash-outs. Tarpon Bay Explorers has been closed since Hurricane Ian made landfall, but hopes to reopen sometime in early-mid February.
