Update (10:27PM) : The Fort Myers Police Department says this is a criminal investigation and multiple people have died. The bridge is expected to remain closed at this time.
Police say the Edison Bridge is shut down due to a fatal crash.
It happened on the Northside of the bridge.
Both the northbound and southbound lanes are closed.
No word on how long.
They are asking people to avoid the area until the scene is cleared.
